Mackintosh Mirrors. Unusual gifts for the home.

It was back in the early 2000s that we at Winged Heart first developed our collection of Mackintosh Mirrors as gifts. As Charles Rennie Mackintosh enthusiasts we wanted to produce mirrors that were as true as possible to his ideas of design, and Mara Eagle, one of the Winged Heart partners, began drawing her designs based on decorative details that Mackintosh created for places like the Glasgow School of Art, the Hunterian Museum, House for an Art Lover, the Willow Tea Rooms, the Hill House, Helensburgh, and 78 Derngate, Northampton. The 'Art School Rosebud' design, for instance, was Mara's interpretation of a small window in a door in the Art School.

Drew and Mara, the partners of Winged Heart are now in their 48th year of producing stained glass gifts and mirrors for the home, and we have decided to 'semi-retire'. We will still be continuing here, but with our Static Window Clings and glass Paperweights – a simplified product range.

Our Mackintosh Mirrors will, we are very happy to say, carry on with one of our longstanding members of staff, Jenna Robinson, who is licensing Mara's designs. Jenna has been with Winged Heart for 25 years (!) and has been our major mirror maker for many of those years.
